Each type of facility, customer sector & customer market has its own unique power quality (PQ) signature. The old saying is the “voltage belongs to the source” (typically the utility) & the “current belongs to the customer”. The customer’s electrical & electronic load & operations shape the current. The ratio of electrical (linear) to electronic (non-linear) load affects the signature. Operations also affects the signature & includes how many shifts (or hours) the facility is operated & what loads they used during each period.
